The views of the Cobblers boss on Northampton Town v Leyton Orient
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder was unhappy with the second half performance in Saturday’s game against Leyton Orient.
“I had mixed emotions and maybe the second half was a little bit of a wake up call for us,” he said.
“I was really pleased with the first half but then we fell away a little bit in the second half.
“We dropped our standards a bit in the second half and we weren’t positive enough in our play. We didn’t play at a tempo and at the intensity that we have done so far in pre-season.
“Ivan Toney was excellent when he came on and was positive in his play but I know that we are a lot better than our second half performance suggested.”
