RESERVES PLAY BEHIND CLOSED DOORS FRIENDLY AT WOLVES

Squad enjoy friendly work out

Northampton Town’s reserves played a behind closed doors friendly at Wolves on Tuesday afternoon, giving game time to a number of the first team squad.

Sam Hoskins scored for the Cobblers in a 1-1 draw while Luke Prosser and Danny Rose both played the full 90 minutes.

“It was a good competitive game,” said assistant boss Alan Knill.

“Luke and Danny both played the full 90 minutes and it was a good chance for us to give some of the other players in the squad a run out as well.

“The players showed a great attitude as always and this was a really good work out for us.

“We’ve got a busy schedule of Saturday Tuesday games coming up over the next few weeks and it’s important that everybody in the squad is fit and ready.”
