HOLMES AND DIAMOND SET TO MISS OXFORD'S VISIT

11 September 2015

The Cobblers boss with team news ahead of Northampton Town v Oxford United

The Cobblers are still set to be without Zander Diamond (dead leg), Ricky Holmes (back), Brendan Moloney (knee) and Evan Horwood (groin) for the visit of Oxford United.

A late decision will meanwhile be taken on Alfie Potter, who came off against Dagenham with a dead leg.

“It’s not an excuse but we’ve got some big players out at the moment,” said boss Chris Wilder.

“The injuries to Zander, Brendan and Ricky are all really unfortunate and we’ve lost Adam Yates to injury as well.

“Adam is back at Port Vale for treatment and we are still missing Evan as well.

“There are a couple of players that maybe we’d like to take out of the team in this period but we can’t because of injuries so we just have to get on with it.

“It won’t be our strongest side against Oxford but whatever team I put out we will be positive and get on the front foot.”
