Brendan Moloney (knee) is close to a return to the side for Saturday’s final home game of the season against Luton Town.
“Hopefully Brendan will be back,” said boss Chris Wilder.
“We didn’t want to take a chance with him last Saturday but we feel that he will be close for the weekend and if he is close then he will play.
“Brendan has been an outstanding player for us this season, right from the time he was thrown in at Coventry.
“He deserves to play if he’s fit enough and I’m sure he will be desperate to get out there on Saturday.”
