LATE DECISION TO BE MADE ON ADAM YATES

4 September 2015

Chris Wilder with some team news ahead of Northampton Town v Dagenham & Redbridge

A late decision will be made on Adam Yates (thigh) ahead of Saturday but Zander Diamond (dead leg) and Ricky Holmes (back) are again unlikely to feature.

“We are waiting for a scan on Zander but hopefully these things clear up pretty quickly,” said boss Chris Wilder.

“He won’t be back for Saturday and we are probably looking more at Oxford for Ricky.

“Ricky’s injury is really unfortunate, he is a big player for us and he was going to start against Barnet and then we had to pull him out in the warm-up.

“Adam came off with a sore thigh at half-time on Tuesday and we will have to monitor that but I thought Josh Lelan did really well when he came on.

“Coming from academy football it’s been a tough start for Josh with the run of games we’ve had but he’s generally done well.

“Brendan Moloney and Evan Horwood are moving forward but they haven’t had a proper pre-season so they are still a few weeks away.

“The situation with John-Joe O’Toole and Chris Hackett hasn’t changed, no one has been discarded or excluded, they are still available but we haven’t had any interest so until we do they are still part of our squad.”
