SHOPS AND BUSINESSES GETTING KITTED OUT READY FOR SUNDAY'S PARADE

Huge crowds expected in Northampton town centre on Sunday

Shops and businesses in Northampton town centre are preparing to deck out in claret and white for Sunday's open top bus parade.

With warm weather forecast, thousands of supporters are expecting to line the route to mark Northampton Town becoming League 2 Champions, with the biggest crowds expected in the Market Square.

The club shop has a host of items on sale to help you get ready, flags, t-shirts in pink, white or claret, foam hands, polo shirts and more with more and more supplies, including scarves, arriving later in the week. You can call the club shop on 01604 683777 or visit Sixfields 10am-5pm each weekday, or there will be a stall on the Market Square on Sunday selling official merchandise.

Sunday's parade will set off from Sixfields at 4pm, head down the Weedon Road, past the railway station, up into Marefair and across Horsemarket and into Gold Street and Mercer's Row performing a lap of All Saints before moving up the Drapery. The buses will perform two laps of the Market Square before pausing outside Starbucks for speeches before moving on past All Saints again and into George Row and then St Giles Square before heading into the Guildhall for a civic reception in honour of the club's achievements this season.
