Winger makes Sixfields move
Northampton Town have signed Bury attacker Nicky Adams on a free transfer, with Adams signing a three year contract at Sixfields.
Nicky, who can play in any attacking position, made his first team debut for Bury in October 2005 – scoring the only goal of the game against Darlington. Quickly establishing him as a dressing room and fans favourite, Nicky went on a fine run of form that led to end of season awards and a new contract. His progress continued until he moved to Leicester City and spent spells on loan with Rochdale, Leyton Orient and Brentford.
He joined Rochdale on a permanent basis before moving to Crawley Town on a free transfer under Steve Evans. After a successful two years, Nicky linked up with Evans again, this time at Rotherham United but his stay at the New York Stadium was to be a short one as five months later he re-joined Bury, who secured his services on a three year deal for an undisclosed fee.
He was a regular in the side as Bury won promotion to League 1 in 2014/15.
