Club activate 24 hour recall clause
Northampton Town have recalled striker Alex Nicholls from his loan spell at Exeter City, meaning he will be available for Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie at Portsmouth.
Nicholls, who is back playing again this season after suffering a broken leg back in October 2012, played six times for Exeter, scoring once.
“We have called Alex back and he will be involved at Portsmouth on Tuesday night," said boss Chris Wilder.
“He’s had a good chunk of games there which has been great for him but it was never going to be a long-term thing and we’re looking forward to having him back.”
