NO COMPLAINTS ABOUT LOSS FROM CHRIS WILDER

13 September 2014

The views of Chris Wilder on Newport County v Northampton Town

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder reflecting on Saturday's 3-2 defeat at Newport County.

"I've got no complaints and apart from the last ten, fifteen minutes we were second best in all aspects today," he said.

"In any game of football you have got to earn the right to play and Newport were much brighter than us in the first half and deservedly led at half-time.

"Maybe it's a little bit of a warning for us but it's a collective effort, we took all the plaudits last week and now we need to just take this on the chin and move on.

"The players showed a lot of character to get us back into the game but it was too little too late. We gave it a real go which I was pleased with and we kept going and could have even nicked a point in the end even though we might not have deserved it.

"The players are really disappointed but they're a good group and I'm sure I will get a reaction from them on Tuesday night."
