DEADLINE DAY 2016: LEE MARTIN LOAN EXTENDED TO THE END OF THE SEASON

1 February 2016

Millwall man to remain at Sixfields

Northampton Town have extended the loan of Millwall's Lee Martin until the end of the season.

Former Manchester United midfielder Martin arrived at Sixfields on a month's loan earlier in January, and his stay has now been extended.

"It seems like Alfie Potter may be out a little longer than we originally expected and Lee has definitely impressed in his time with us, so we are pleased he will be staying until the end of the season," said manager Chris Wilder.

"I think everyone has seen the quality he has in the two games he has played, and the depth and options he gives us.

"Not only has he performed well on the pitch, he has settled in well in the dressing room, which is important, and we are pleased to extend his loan."
