Players enjoy experience of playing in Football League stadium
On Monday 30th May the Northampton Town Football in the Community scheme, in partnership with Northampton Town Multi Disabled Football Club, hosted the Annual Pan Disability Football Festival at Sixfields.
This is the fifteenth year of the festival and a big thank you to Northampton Town Football Club for continuing to support the festival at Sixfields.
This is a fantastic opportunity for players with a disability to play on the pitch.
There were twenty eight teams from all over the country, including places such as Bournemouth, Brentford, Milton Keynes and Sheffield to a few with over 300 players aged from under 16 through to adults with different abilities.
All the matches were evenly contested and the winners in the groups were@
Under 16: Aston Villa
Conference: Northampton Town
League: Milton Keynes
Championship: Rushden
We hope all involved enjoyed their day.
