SKIPPER COLLINS SET TO MISS DAGENHAM & REDBRIDGE V NORTHAMPTON TOWN

5 September 2014

All the team news ahead of Dagenham & Redbridge v Northampton Town

The Cobblers will be without skipper Lee Collins (hamstring) for this Saturday’s trip to Dagenham with Emile Sinclair (ankle) rated as 'touch and go'.

New signings Ryan Cresswell and Ryan Watson could however both make their Cobblers debuts with midfielder Darren Carter (hamstring) also set to return.

“Lee tweaked his hamstring on Saturday, we are still waiting on an assessment but he won’t be available for the weekend,” confirmed boss Chris Wilder.

“Emile is touch and go but Darren Carter trained in the week and he will be involved.

“Daniel Alfei is still carrying a bit of a knock but there is a situation with him that he has been called up by Wales under 21s and if he is fit then he will go with them.

“We’ve got seven or eight players out at the moment which is tough and that’s why we needed to bring a couple of players in.

“The two players we signed will make us a better group, we are trying to build something here and I think this is a really exciting time for the football club.”

The Cobblers will also be without Jordan Archer who is away on Scotland under 21 duty.
