ADVANCED TICKET PURCHASE IS ADVISED

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder is pleased that this Saturday’s trip to Wycombe is taking place with the club in a far healthier position than when the two sides last met on Good Friday.

“Wycombe will be a tough nut to crack but we are really looking forward to it,” he said.

“We are happy with our start but it’s important we don’t sit back, we need to kick on and it’s another big month for us.

“Both sides have had good starts to the season and will want to continue that and every manager wants to find that consistency, from individuals and as a team.

“Last Saturday will have given us a lot of encouragement that we can grind out a defensive performance when we need to but at the same time still have that attacking threat.

“I don’t want to take anything away from our attacking intent and we’ve shown when we’ve got the ball we can cause teams problems.”
