SIXFIELDS SET FOR BUSY BANK HOLIDAY WEEKEND OF COMMUNITY FOOTBALL

25 May 2016

Plenty of action at Sixfields in the next few days

Sixfields has a busy Bank Holiday weekend of football to look forward to.

On Friday we are hosting the 2016 Carlsberg Corporate Cup, with 12 teams doing battle to claim the honour won by the University of Northampton last season.

On Saturday and Sunday it is the turn of the younger players to take to the pitch in the 2016 Cobblers Cup.  The under 7s and under 9s play on Saturday, with the under 8s and under 10s on Sunday.

On Bank Holiday Monday from 11am to 5pm, Sixfields will be hosting its 15th annual pan disability football festival.

The festival will involve teams from around the country and we wish everyone playing here this weekend an enjoyable day.

On Tuesday, sponsored by Signs Express, the first ever Girls Cobblers Cup will take place.

Finally, on Wednesday, Sixfields is hosting a mental health football festival.

Admission to the Carlsberg Cup, the multi disabled festival and the mental health festival is free (£2 for the adults for the Cobblers Cup with under 16s free) and all support is welcomed.

These are the last events at Sixfields to take place before a seven week break for pitch renovation work.
