Fixture arranged as part of pre-season trip to Scotland
As part of the pre-season week that will be spent in Scotland, Northampton Town will take on Scottish Championship side Alloa Athletic in a pre-season friendly.
The game will be played at Alloa's Recreation Park stadium on Thursday July 17th at 7.45pm.
"I would like to thank Alloa Athletic for agreeing to host us," said manager Chris Wilder.
"I have taken teams there before and I know it will be a good test for us on a good surface and played in a good spirit.
"it will be exactly what we need at that stage of the build up.
"The 5 days we will spend in Scotland will be an important time for us. It is about the players getting to know each other on and off the pitch, developing the partnerships and relationships you need to be successful."
The Cobblers will be based in Edinburgh from Tuesday July 15th until Sunday July 20th and the Alloa game will be the only fixture of the training camp.
Supporters looking to make travel and accommodation arrangements should please note this game is subject to the necessary international clearance being granted. The club will confirm when this is received.
