Experienced striker signs 2 year contract at Sixfields
Northampton Town have signed striker Alex Revell on a 2 year contract with effect from July 1st after he rejected offers from a number of other clubs to make the move to Sixfields.
The 6ft 3in Revell has a host of experience at Championship and League 1 level, and can name Brighton & Hove Albion, Southend United, Leyton Orient, Rotherham United, Cardiff City, Wigan Athletic and MK Dons amongst his previous clubs, recording nearly 500 senior appearances.
He spent the 2015/16 season in the Championship with Cardiff City and MK Dons as well as enjoying a loan spell with League One Champions Wigan Athletic, scoring six times.
"Alex is a fantastic signing for us and I am delighted to welcome him to the club," said manager Rob Page.
"He is a striker of proven quality and experience in League One and the Championship and his knowledge of that level will be a massive help to the squad.
"This is a big signing for the club, a statement from us and we have had to be patient but we have beaten off a lot of competition to secure Alex's signature and I am sure he will be a big asset to us.
"I have spoken a lot about character being important, and Alex is exactly the type of character we want at the club."
