CHRIS WILDER - 'GOOD FRIDAY WILL BE TOUGH'

2 April 2015

The Cobblers boss on AFC Wimbledon v Northampton Town

Cobblers boss Chris Wilder previews the Good Friday trip to AFC Wimbledon.

“It’s going to be a really tough game for us but our tails are up and we’re going for it,” he said.

“Wimbledon have got a fantastic home record this season and we will have to go there and play well. They are a passionate group and it’s always a good place to play.

“It’s a tight ground there and I’m sure we will take another big away following.

“Statistically and if you look at the numbers we are the outsiders to make the play-offs but on current form we’re not.

“Saturday showed the mental toughness and strength of character in the side and it was a massive performance and a really big win for us.

“It’s been a fantastic few months and we’ve put a lot of pressure on the teams above us to get results.

“With two games over the weekend it’s an opportunity for us to close the gap but all our focus is on Friday and I don’t think we can afford to look any further ahead than that.”
