Cobblers boss Chris Wilder reflecting on Saturday’s 5-1 win at Accrington.

“The workrate of the whole team was excellent and it was a really solid away performance,” he said.

“We started off the game on the front foot and in the second half we capitalised on a couple of mistakes.

“We reacted well to losing Ryan Cresswell and I’ve got no complaints with the sending off.

“The shape of the team was excellent in the second half, the front three pressed really hard and we played smart football.

“The supporters were magnificent again, we knew it was going to be a big test for us today and we didn’t want to take a step back.

“We are enjoying a good period at the moment, January has been a fantastic month for us and credit to the players for that but we need to carry it on now if we want to get anything out of this season.”
