The Cobblers boss on Accrington Stanley v Northampton Town
Cobblers boss Chris Wilder felt Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Accrington was a just scoreline.
“I thought the result were fair,” he said.
“We looked quite a tired team in the first half but we dug in and got a result.
“Accrington were brighter and sharper than us in the first half but when we got a foothold in the game I thought we looked the stronger side and we had enough chances in the second half to win the game.
“It’s been a tough week, we haven’t won the game which is what we came here to do but we’ve come away with a valuable point.
“After a tough week it’s a decent result for us and there will be a lot of teams who come here and get turned over.”
