LEE COLLINS DOUBTFUL FOR NORTHAMPTON TOWN V OXFORD UNITED

21 October 2014

All the news ahead of Northampton Town v Oxford United

The Cobblers are still likely to be without skipper Lee Collins (foot) for Tuesday night’s visit from Oxford United.

“Lee is highly doubtful for Tuesday night,” confirmed assistant boss Alan Knill.

“He’s got a trapped nerve in his foot and it is an old injury that just comes and goes. He saw someone on Monday to assess it so hopefully we will know more this week.

“Emile Sinclair trained on Monday and there is possibly a chance that he could be on the bench. He was due to play for the reserves last week but he felt his hip in the warm-up so we didn’t want to risk him.

“Zander Diamond is going to be re-assessed this week, he’s got a floating bone on his ankle and we are  waiting on a second opinion.

“Matt Duke is ready to play, whether or not he’s ready to be picked is a decision for us to make.”
