The Cobblers assistant boss ahead of Southend United v Northampton Town
Cobblers assistant David Kerslake says the challenge for the squad is take the improved form at Sixfields on the road as he previews Saturday’s tough looking trip to play off chasing Southend United.
“It will certainly be a tough game,” he said.
“Phil Brown always has his teams well organised, they will be hard working and physical but I think we can match that and try and go beyond it.
“Momentum is the key word for us, we are in a decent bit of form and there is a good feeling around the place.
"The group is together and I don’t see why we can’t go to Southend and do well.
“When you are on a bad run and you take the lead the natural tendency is to sit back to try and see the game out.
“We are trying to change that mentality and I think that is starting to work.”
