EFL Youth Alliance Merit Division action
Northampton Town's under 18s welcomed Barnet to Moulton College on Saturday for their latest EFL Youth Alliance Merit Division game.
The Cobblers made it back-to-back victories as goals from Lewis Irwin, Ethan Lamptey, Morgan Roberts together with an own goal secured a 4-3 win for Mark Lyons’ side.
“We started really well and thoroughly deserved to go two-up,” said the Cobblers Professional Development Phase Coach.
“Barnet pegged it back to 2-2 when we dropped off a little bit but the lads showed great character to go again and we managed to see the game out.
“It was a great goal from Ethan and we had some under 16s in the side who did really well. To back up last week’s result and make it back-to-back wins was really pleasing.”
