EFL Youth Alliance action
The Northampton Town under 18s drew 2-2 with Milton Keynes Dons at Moulton College on Tuesday morning in the EFL Youth Alliance.
The Cobblers goals came from Joe Iaciofano and Lewis Irwin in a performance that generally pleased Lead Professional Development Phase Coach Mark Lyons.
"There were plenty of positives as we built on a number of good performances in recent weeks," he said.
"We were disappointed to be pegged back from 2-1 but we hit the woodwork a number of times and felt we created enough chances to have won the game.
"The boys competed well against a strong MK Dons side and we continued our encouraging recent form."
