EFL Youth Alliance action
The Northampton Town under 18s welcomed Stevenage to Moulton College on Saturday in the EFL Youth Alliance.
The Cobblers were beaten 5-2 with Joe Iaciofano and Sean Whaler on target.
“It was a good first half but two errors meant we were behind at half-time,” said Professional Development Phase coach Mark Lyons.
“We then got ourselves back into the game only to fall away again towards the end.
“The result is disappointing but there were some positives and we look forward to Tuesday now.”
Next up for the under 18s on Tuesday (1 Nov) an FA Youth Cup first round tie away at Boreham Wood.
