CLUB GEARED UP FOR HUGE DEMAND AS FIRST FOUR HOME MATCH TICKETS GO ON SALE

1 August 2016

Huge interest expected as tickets go on sale for club's first four home games back in League 1

With excitement building ahead of Northampton Town's return to League 1, tickets for the first four home league games (up to and including the Walsall game on September 10th) have now gone on sale from Sixfields and via www.ntfcdirect.co.uk

With many games expected to sell out at Sixfields, advanced purchase of tickets is highly recommended!

The club have invested in a new access control system that will be in place for the Fleetwood Town game, and Chairman Kelvin Thomas has been explaining the benefits for supporters.

"This will be a big step forward," he said.

"We have invested to improve the old system and having access control will help the club, it will help supporters and we believe it will also encourage supporters to buy tickets online.

"We have a lot of big games this season and we know in the past there have been big queues for tickets for the big games. The new system should make life a lot easier for supporters and mean they can buy their tickets without the queues.

"Season ticket sales have been fantastic  and a lot for that is to do with people concerned they may miss out with the level of interest flying around for the new season. There are so many big games, MK Dons, Peterborough United, Bolton Wanderers, Charlton, Coventry, Sheffield United and more, it will be a really exciting season.

"We know already there is a lot of demand for Fleetwood tickets and that is great to see. Supporters are ready for that game, they want tickets, they want to secure their seat, and that buzz is fantastic and now that tickets are on sale, we are geared up for the rush.

"Season ticket holders will find life much simpler, they will be able to purchase their seat for cup games and simply add that to their card, while phase 2 of the installation of the new system, expected in September, will see supporters be able to print their match tickets at home."

Season tickets will be ready to collect at the end of July, the club will confirm the exact date in due course.
