Williams back at parent club and will miss final two games of the season through injury
Luke Williams has returned to parent club Scunthorpe United at the end of his loan spell.
Williams picked up a hamstring injury during Good Friday’s defeat at Millwall and won’t be fit before the end of the season.
“Losing Luke is a blow for us,” said boss Justin Edinburgh.
“He has gone back to Scunthorpe now and I’d like to thank him for his efforts.
“He put in some good performances for us in his time here and we wish him a speedy recovery.”
Gregg Wylde has meanwhile also returned to his parent club Millwall after undergoing surgery. In all, Williams made eight appearances for the Cobblers during his loan spell, while Wylde made six starts and six substitute appearances.
