The Cobblers boss on MK Dons v Northampton Town
Cobblers boss Justin Edinburgh saw plenty to work on as he reflected on Saturday’s loss at MK Dons.
“It’s a disappointing result and the goals we conceded were very frustrating after a good start to the game,” he said.
“There was spirit and I saw some good signs but defensively we have got a lot of work to do in and around our box.
“A couple of their goals were a bit fortuitous but if you score three goals away from home you should be coming away with something.
“It’s a disappointing and frustrating afternoon in some aspects but there were some pleasing things as well.
“We have got to stop the habit of losing, it’s not easy but I take encouragement from a lot of our general play and certainly going forward."
On the injury picked up by Alex Revell in the first half, Edinburgh added:
“Alex went off with a calf injury and we will have to assess that over the next 24-48 hours.”
