Cobblers boss Aidy Boothroyd is expecting a really close game at Wembley on Saturday. “It has all the makings of a really good final,” he said.
“I think it’s going to be a very tight game and it could go all the way.
“We are really excited and looking forward to it, It’s a one off game and it will be down to who deals best with the situation on the day.
“A lot of hard work from a lot of people has got us to this position and now we want to try and finish the job off.
“Our whole season and all the work we’ve done culminates on Saturday in a one off game and it is going to be all or nothing.
“We have done well to get here but there is no point getting to a final and coming away as losers.
“It is high pressure if you are doing it for the first time but after my experiences with Watford I’m a lot more relaxed about this one.
“We have worked very hard for 18 months to get to this position, it’s my second final and when I’m back in Northampton on Saturday night I want to make sure that I’ve got a winners medal.
“I know I’ve got a group of players who have worked their socks off all season and when we leave Wembley on Saturday we want to get on the bus with a big trophy at the front.”
