Northampton Town v Bristol Rovers

Cobblers boss Rob Page says Saturday’s home game against Bristol Rovers will be another tough test for his side.

“Every game we play is a difficult game for different reasons,” he said.

“Bristol Rovers play in a similar way to Swindon and I know they have got some gifted players in their team.

“Their recruitment has been excellent for them and they do both sides of the game really well.

“The games are coming thick and fast for us at the moment but what pleases me is that the Manchester United game wasn’t too much of a distraction.

“Confidence is high but we are not going to be complacent with it and we aren’t taking anything for granted.

“Winning games of football creates that environment and it’s important we keep that momentum going.

“The reason we’ve won games is because we’ve approached them in the right way and Saturday will be no different.

“Defensively we still look as strong as we did at the start of the season but we knew we needed to be more clinical in front of goal. It’s an area we’ve worked on and what’s pleasing is now with every chance we create we look like scoring.

“I’m pleased that we are sharing the goals around too because you need everybody to chip in.”
